Honey Ginger Balsamic Applesauce

 

Honey Ginger Balsamic Applesauce
Delicious with vanilla ice cream or vanilla yogurt. Also freezes easily.
Ingredients
  • 3 - 4 pounds (approximately 10 -12 medium sizcored and quartered cooking apples (Cortland Golden Delicious, Jonagold, Winesap, Fuji, Jonathan, or McIntos- do not peel
  • 1 cup water
  • 3 Tbsp . Tastealotta Honey Ginger Balsamic Vinegar (or more to taste)
  • 3 inches cinnamon stick
  • 2 - 4 Tbsp . white sugar
Instructions
  1. Put apples and water into a large pot. Cover and bring to a boil.
  2. Lower heat and simmer 20-30 minutes until apples are soft and easily smashed.
  3. Remove from heat.
  4. Run through a food mill or a Victorio strainer on coarse setting.
  5. Add Tastealotta Honey Ginger Balsamic Vinegar and sugar to taste.
  6. Ready to serve - either hot or refrigerated.

  8. Yield: approximately 1 1/2 quarts
