Honey Ginger Balsamic Applesauce
Delicious with vanilla ice cream or vanilla yogurt. Also freezes easily.
Ingredients
- 3 - 4 pounds (approximately 10 -12 medium sizcored and quartered cooking apples (Cortland Golden Delicious, Jonagold, Winesap, Fuji, Jonathan, or McIntos- do not peel
- 1 cup water
- 3 Tbsp . Tastealotta Honey Ginger Balsamic Vinegar (or more to taste)
- 3 inches cinnamon stick
- 2 - 4 Tbsp . white sugar
Instructions

Put apples and water into a large pot. Cover and bring to a boil.

Lower heat and simmer 20-30 minutes until apples are soft and easily smashed.

Remove from heat.

Run through a food mill or a Victorio strainer on coarse setting.

Add Tastealotta Honey Ginger Balsamic Vinegar and sugar to taste.

Ready to serve - either hot or refrigerated.
