American Burger with Espresso Twist

American Burger with Espresso Twist
Ingredients
  • 3 pounds ground chuck
  • 1 1/2 Tsp . sea salt
  • 1 Tsp . freshly ground black pepper
  • 2 Tsp . Tastealotta Dark Espresso Balsamic Vinegar
  • 1 large egg
  • To serve
  • 8 slices bacon cooked
  • 8 slices American cheese
  • 1 - 2 large onions sliced into rings
  • 1 Tsp . Tastealotta Garlic Oil
  • 8 onion rolls halved
  • 2 slices large tomatoes
  • 8 leaves large lettuce
Instructions
  1. In a medium bowl, mix ground chuck, salt, pepper, Tastealotta Dark Espresso Balsamic Vinegar and egg. Form mixture into 8 equally sized patties and set aside.
  2. Place the onion rings in a grill basket and grill until golden brown.
  3. Remove to a shallow bowl, toss with Tastealotta Garlic Oil and set aside.
  4. Grill patties about 4 minutes per side for medium or 5 minutes for well done.
  5. Place bacon and cheese atop each burger and grill for 1 more minute.
  6. Remove patties from grill and place on a wire rack.
  7. Place buns on grill cut side down and grill for about 1 minute to add golden grill marks.
  8. Place a burger on bottom half of each roll and top with onions, tomato and lettuce.
